Allan and his family arrived in Nelson from Ceylon. Alan first attended Trafalgar. The Stangrooms' lived next to the Corys. I spent time at their home and Alan spent time at ours. We were good friends.
Allan was a good swimmer, excellent at the breast stroke, hard to beat at swim meets.
We stayed in touch after hiigh school for awhile, but knowing how way leads on to way, we went our separate ways and lost touch.
