I was sad to see that Betty has passed. We never kept in touch but I knew her and her sister Shirley when I lived in Nelson many, many years ago. They lived on the road above me so we often walked to school together. Will keep her family in my heart... (((hugs)))
I was very sad to read that Betty Bird has passed away. Betty and I were good friends all through high school and did a lot together, like lots of parties and dances and were even in a car accident when we were 19. My Mother nursed us back to health as Betty's parents were away. One of my favourite memories was being at her house and her dad, Fred, made us martini's and we gave him lots to laugh at. We did lose touch over the years as we both lived in different provinces etc. I am glad we managed a visit at the reunion in 2013. RIP Betty
