A sincere, yet, happy- go- lucky type of person is how I would describe Brian. Always with a big smile and a nice word for everyone. Your time came too soon. You are missed. I'm filled with shock and sadness. Well, Brian, maybe you can shed some light down to Earth on us, and help to guide our way. May Peace be with you.
Info in the 1962 LVR HS Yearbook, The Mountaineer, shows that Brian was a member of the LVR Jr. Bombers Basketball Team.
If I may quote from the 1962 LVR Yearbook: "This powerful team of potential stars had an extremely good year. They defeated, in league play, South Slocan once and Kaslo twice. Their only loss was to South Slocan by one point."
"In the tournament, Nelson beat South Slocan and Nakusp to become the West Kootenay Champions of "B Division Basketball. Thanks go to Mr. Jordan for teaching the team so much."
Brian, I so missed seeing both you and wife Lavern at the high school reunion.
I last had a visit with you and family in 1996 and then with Lavern in the summer of 2009.
I was so saddened by your death and wish we had at least another visit before your passing. But I know you were always upbeat so I will remember all the good times and good memories. You were one of my most favourite people to know. Much love to you.
