It is with great sadness that I have learned of Bill's passing. He was a great human being and friend. I remember all those days and memories when his parents owned the cafe and grocery. I continued going there when I attended NDU.Many days I spent the whole day there and played cards and never made it to class.
The world is a lesser place due to his passing. So, Bill, old warrior, I will salute the Missing Man Formation flyover as you pass by on your way to heaven. Fly high, Fly straight, Aim high, and put steel on target!! Godspeed, and may you always have fair winds and following seas.

Just saw Bill at the New Denver Garlic Festival in Sept.  He was a valuable volunteer helping with the organization of music at the festival.  I look back to 1969 when Bill and I and two friends had an adventurous trip to Mexico in a VW van, decorated with plastic flowers and a sticker on the back that said "Keep California Green Grow Grass".  It was like a red flag to the Mexican Federales.  Fond memories Bill, you left us too early.

I was shocked and saddened to see Bill Johnson passing away. I didn't realize anything was troubling him. We did talk at the last reunion. He was at gone far too soon. Rest in peace, Bill Kent Preston
