Very sorry to hear that Les Evens has passed.

He and I were in grade school together so many years ago.

We reconnected a few years ago, thanks to Carol Crookshanks.

Les achieved much in his career and was a good family man, and many of us will miss him.

I was sorry to hear that Les had passed.  He was a friend for many years during my school years.  He lived not too far from me and very close to Patsy Wright.  My condolenses to the family.  RIP Les!

Les and I were very good friends all through our high school days and afterwards. We shared many happy hours (and beyond) and lots of adventures both during and after our school days. He was the best man at my wedding and I was supposed to be his but forest fires didnt allow. Our families vacationed together and we taught our kids to swim, boat and fish during those times. We drifted apart for a while but still kept in touch when our paths crossed. The school reunions have helped us to see each other spend more time together.

He always loved his girls and they still call me uncle when we talk. He has been suffering in recent years with various illnesses and was not the same old Les but fought valiantly to make the last reunion where he talked to lots of old friends and neighbors.

I know he is in a happy place now and is rid of the pain. So good on you Les. You will be missed.

RIP
